St Kieran's Primary School is set to hold its family fun day on Sunday, July 22
The St Kieran's school grounds will be overflowing with family-filled entertainment on Sunday, 22 July with their annual family fun day.
This year's event will have all the family favourites including rides for all ages, games, stalls, food hall, trash and treasure, farmers markets and much more.
P&F Co-President Mr Chris Edwards said the fete held last year was extremely well attended.
“We are really excited about running the Family Fun Day again in 2018, and we have so much planned for families to enjoy," he said.
“The school community is getting behind the event providing attractions, prizes for raffles and donations and it's thanks to our gold sponsors, including McDonalds Bracken Ridge, McCormacks Tyre and Suspension, Cafe 63, Crossfit 4017, Fred The Builders, Rackleys Swimming and our local Councillor Jared Cassidy that we are able to have some great prizes in our Cent Auction and Art Union."
Principal Mr Ben Gray said the event is a great opportunity for families to get together, enjoy the day out and helps promote a strong sense of community.
“It's wonderful to see so many families having fun, enjoying the event and finding out more about our school community," he said.
"An attraction which will be a definite show stopper will be our Dunk-a-teacher stand" Mr Gray said.
"We have a very dedicated team of teachers who are more than willing to volunteer for this attraction and students are very excited at the idea of being able to dunk their teacher".
There will also be a sideshow alley where children can win prizes, a cent auction, Trash and Treasure, show bags, farmers markets and various other stalls.
There will also be performances from the school band and choir, student dances and performances from local organisations.
“There really is something for everyone and our students have been working hard preparing what promises to be a lot of fun for the whole community" Mr Gray said.
The school's parents and friends association hopes to raise funds to expand the outdoor facilities at the school including creating a more diverse nature play area.
The gates to St Kieran's will open at 9am with rides commencing from 10am. The school is located on the Northside of Brisbane at 15 Greenwood Street Brighton.
