St Kieran's Introduces New Staff Member
The students and staff at St Kieran's are delighted to welcome their new staff member, Nala the school dog.
Due to their calming and joyful effect on student and teacher welfare when integrated into school life, dogs trained for the school environment are often referred to as miracle workers.
Principal Mr Ben Gray said he was keen to invite a dog into St Kieran's for its 310 students from Prep to Year 6.
"There is a great deal of research to suggest that dogs have a positive effect in a school environment", he said.
"At St Kieran's, wellbeing is a priority, and a school dog like Nala, who adores a pat, is likel to bring smiles to our students and staff.
