Socktober Kicking Goals for thos in Need

On Tuesday 11 October, St Kieran's students will kick goals to  help those in need with a sponsored Socktober fundraising event.

Socktober uses the world game of soccer to encourage students to learn about mission and social justice, which are core parts of the Catholic curriculum.

As part of Socktober, students will create a makeshift ball from recycled materials and compete in a sponsored event to kick goals for house points.

"Mission and social justice are a strong part of St Kieran's and Socktober helps us walk in solidarity with those less fortunate" said Acting APRE David Isbester.

By kicking goals, St Kieran's will raise funds to support vulnerable children in Ethiopia who are facing malnutrition and food insecurity.

Family and friends are encouraged to sponsor their efforts by donating to the St Kieran's Fundraising page.  Click on the Qr code below to access.
