Vision St Kieran's Catholic Primary School is committed to ​providing a faith-filled learning environment.  In the spirit of Saint Kieran we strive for a culture of growth, generosity and belonging as part of an inclusive community.

Mission  We encourage students to have a growth mindset so that they achieve their potential and become life long learners.  Together we value the role each member of our school community plays.  Founded by the Canossian Sisters we continue to reflect their values​ by giving our best, having courage, doing the small things well, working as a team and never giving up.  We live our motto, "Strength Through Caring" so that our students become successful members of society.​​

Caritas Project Compassion Rice Dayhttp://www.stkieranbrighton.qld.edu.au/featured-news/Pages/Caritas-Project-Compassion-Launch.aspxCaritas Project Compassion Rice Day<h2 style="text-align:center;">Students Eat Rice in Solidarity for the Poor<br></h2><p>Students at St Kieran's Primary School have raised money to support those living in poverty and will find out what it would be like to eat just rice for a day.<br></p><p>The school supports Caritas Project Compassion every year during Lent and next week the fundraising and learning will continue.<br></p><p>Students will take part in a rice day on Wednesday 31 March where all they will eat is rice to appreciate what it might be like to live in a third world country.<br></p><p>Principal Mr Ben Gray said, "Caritas Project Compassion is about raising awareness as well as money and our students always embrace that".<br></p><p>"Rice Day is an important learning opportunity for our students that demonstrates solidarity for the millions of people around the world who go every day without sufficient amounts of food each day".<br></p><p>"The dedication of St Kieran's to social justice ensures that our students not only complete their learning path as better students, but also to be better members of society" Mr Gray said.<br></p><p>The theme for Project Compassion 2021 is "Be More and Transform Lives" and thousands of schools, parishes and communities across Brisbane will participate in​ one of Australia's largest humanitarian fundraising and awareness campaigns.<br></p><p>The Caritas Project Compassion fundraiser runs through the six weeks of Lent and brings hundreds of thousands of Australians together in solidarity with the world's most vulnerable communities, to help end poverty, promote justice and uphold dignity.<br></p><p>Money raised during Project Compassion goes towards Caritas Australia's humanitarian and long-term development programs in more than 40 countries across Asia, Africa, the Pacific, Latin America and First Australian communities.  <a href="https://lent.caritas.org.au/t/stkieransprimaryschoolbrighton">Click here</a> to donate today!</p><p><br></p><p><br><br></p>
