Instrumental Music Program

Music is highly valued at St Kieran’s and students have the opportunity to be involved in many different and enriching musical experiences.  As well as a developmental classroom music program for all students from Prep to Year 6, there are opportunities to sing in our Young Voices Choir, play an instrument in one of our school bands or participate in weekly instrumental lessons.
Instrumental Program
The Instrumental Program runs during school time with lessons given once a week. Children are provided with the option of either an individual lesson or a group lesson (up to three students). Children are given the opportunity to perform for their peers during classroom music lessons, during Assemblies and for the whole school community at the annual Spring Music Concert.  Instruments available to learn are guitar, piano and drums.

Each child is provided with a hire instrument, books, one lesson per week and regular weekly band rehearsals. With instruments such as flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone and drums, keen students are very likely to find something that suits them.
